General Regulation on Data Protection – Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April, considers that “information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (‘data subject’); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person”.

1. Collecting and Using Information
Depending on how the Customer interacts with Dancers By Georgia (online, offline, by phone and/or in person), we collect various types of information about them, as described below:

Personal contact information: this includes information provided to us by the Customer and which enables us to contact you, such as your name, address, email address, social network data or telephone number.

Demographic information: any information that provides demographic or behavioral characteristics. Some examples include your date of birth, age or age group, geographic location (e.g., postcode), favorite products, hobbies and interests, as well as information on your household or lifestyle.

Technical information about your computer/mobile device: any information about the computer system or other technological device that you use to access one of our Websites or apps (applications), such as the Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer or device to the Internet, type of operating system and type of Web browser and version. If you access the Dancers By Georgia’s Website or app (application) through a mobile device, such as a smartphone, the information collected will also include, the unique identification number of your mobile phone, advertising identifier, geolocation and other similar data relating to mobile devices, in particular through the use of web beacons, where permitted.

Customer Feedback: this includes information you voluntarily share with us about your experience using our products and services.

Content generated by the Customer: this refers to any content created by you that you share with us through social media or that you transfer to one of our websites or apps (applications), including the use of social network apps (applications) such as Facebook. Some examples include pictures, videos, personal stories or other media or similar content. We collect and publish content generated by the Customer related to a variety of activities, including contests and other promotions, community website usability, consumer involvement and third-party activities in social networks, where permitted.

Information from social networks: refers to any information that the consumer shares publicly on a social network or information that is part of his/her profile on the third party’s social network (such as Facebook) and that the consumer allows the third party’s social network to share with us. Some examples include your basic account information (e.g., name, email address, gender, date of birth, city where you live, profile picture, username, friends list, etc.) and any other information or additional activities that the consumer allows to be shared by the third party’s social network. We receive your social network profile information (or part of it) whenever you transfer or interact with a Dancers By Georgia Web application on a social network, such as Facebook, whenever you use a social network feature that is integrated in the Dancers By Georgia Website (such as Facebook Connect) or whenever you interact with us through a social network. 2. For what purposes may we use your personal data?
Customer service: we can use your Personal Data for customer service, including answering your questions. This process typically involves, the use of certain personal contact information and information related to the reason for your question (e.g., technical question, question/complaint about a product, a general question, etc.).

Competitions, marketing and other promotions: we can use your Personal Data to provide you with information about products or services (e.g., communications or marketing campaigns or promotions) with your prior consent. Legal reasons or merger/acquisition: If Dancers By Georgia or its assets are acquired by another company or incorporated into it, including cases of insolvency, we may share your personal data with any of our legal successors.

3. How do we keep your personal data safe?
We are committed to ensuring the protection and security of our user’s personal data, and have implemented stringent technical and organizational measures, in this regard. Compliance with these rules constitutes an obligation for all those who use the website/apps.

4. For how long do we keep your personal data?
When there is no legal obligation to keep your personal data, your personal data will be kept for the time required for the purpose for which it was collected, after which, it will be anonymised or destroyed.

For the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, your personal data will be kept up to a maximum of 12 months, from the last contact made.

The Data Subject may ask at any time to amend his Personal Data, either through his user account, or on request with the Data Protection Officer – dance@dancersbygeorgia.com.

Cookies are files with small amounts of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your computer’s hard drive.

8. Service Providers
We can transmit your personal data to third parties that provide services on behalf of Dancers By Georgia, or to help us analyse how our Service is used.

These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obliged to keep your data secure and to use it only and exclusively for the purpose for which they are employed, so that when the data is no longer needed, it will be immediately deleted.

Please be advised that the Portuguese supervisory authority for Data Protection is the National Data Protection Commission, you can contact this entity if you believe that we violate the privacy policy.

10. Commercial Transactions
If Dancers By Georgia is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your Personal Data may be transferred. You will be notified before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy from what has been established herein.

11. Security
At Dancers By Georgia we are committed to ensuring the protection of the security of personal data placed at our disposal, and therefore approve and implement strict measures on this matter.

Given Dancers By Georgia’s great concern and commitment to protect the right to privacy, we have adopted various safety measures, of a technical and organisational nature, in order to protect the personal data placed at our disposal against its dissemination, loss, misuse, alteration, treatment or unauthorised access, as well as against all other unlawful forms of processing.

In this sense, all the personal data collection forms in our websites require encrypted Browser sessions, and all the personal data placed at our disposal are securely stored on our servers, which are in a Datacenter covered by all the physical and logical security measures that we consider to be indispensable to the protection of your personal data.

Despite the security measures adopted by Dancers By Georgia, we are obliged to warn those who surf the internet that they should adopt additional security measures, in particular, to ensure that they use an updated PC and Browser in terms of properly configured security patches, with an active firewall, antivirus and antispyware software, and certify the authenticity of the websites that they view on the internet, and must avoid visiting websites whose reputation they don’t trust.

Whenever credit card information is requested, this communication is carried out through a secure SSL connection, when you use browsers which enable it.

12. International Transfer
Your information, including personal data, may be transferred to and maintained in – computers located outside your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.

If you are outside Portugal and choose to provide us with information please note that the information, including personal data, will be processed in Portugal.

13. Links to Other Websites
Our website may contain links to other websites that are not operated by Dancers By Georgia. The provision of such links is carried out in good faith, and Dancers By Georgia may not be held liable in case of collection and processing of personal data on those websites, nor be liable for the accuracy, credibility and functionality of third party websites.

14. Children’s Privacy
Our Service is not intended for minors under 16 years old (“Children”). Data from children are only collected with the permission of the parent or guardian, we do not intentionally collect personal data pertaining to children. If you are the parent or guardian and are not aware that your child or a child for which you have parental responsibilities has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

If we are aware that we have collected personal data from children under the age of 16 years without the respective consent, we will take immediate measures to remove such data from our servers.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by publishing the new Privacy Policy on this page.
